The transition from LIBOR to SARON event, organised by the Loan Market Association (LMA) and Meyerlustenberger Lachenal Ltd. (MLL) will take place on 17th September 2019 in Zurich.
The financial sector has started reducing its dependence on LIBOR. In various jurisdictions, including Switzerland, the selection of alternative risk-free rates (RFRs) and plans for transition from LIBOR to RFRs before the end of 2021 have been initiated. In Switzerland, SARON has been chosen as the RFR. During this event, Alfred Ledermann, Chair of the Swiss Loan and Deposit Market Sub-Group will provide insights into the latest status and developments from the Swiss National Working Group of the transition from LIBOR to SARON followed by a panel discussion giving further insights into action that can be taken by corporates and financial institutions to prepare for the transition.
The event will be followed by an „Apéro Riche“ and the opportunity for an informal exchange amongst participants and speakers. Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
